This piece features the lacquerware of Sakamoto Otozo Shoten, a long-established lacquer shop in Aizuwakamatsu, in collaboration with m2.
Geta is an innovative form born from the idea that "it would be amazing if there were geta that looked like lacquered jewelry."
Geta and Maki-e are both traditional Japanese cultures. By combining them, we create the "evolving GETA."
The wood base has a delicate gradation from scarlet to black, giving it an adult and elegant impression.
Each genuine leather thong has a pattern hand-painted on it using silver powder.
This pair of shoes highlights the craftsmanship of the lacquer-painted Maki-e technique.
Enjoy it as if it were jewelry.

Heeled geta sandals that are easy to walk in.
The "hitete" series is popular for being easy to walk in and making your feet look beautiful.
The heel height of approximately 6.5cm makes this our most popular series, as it is comfortable to wear and even those who are not good at wearing heels will not be bothered by the height, and the silhouette feels like a sandal, making it easy to match with any outfit.

They feature smoothly carved wood to fit the soles of the feet and cushioned thongs.

Point 1: Shape of the wood (toe)
The shape of the toe area in particular makes it easy to grip the thong tightly.
Point 2: Front pressure point
The cushioning material makes it soft on the feet. The straps are designed to stay in place.
Point 3: How the thong works
The cushioning material makes it soft on the feet. The wide width of the cushioning material wraps the feet securely. The cushioning material is designed to fit the average Japanese foot shape.

It is made of mahogany and sapele, and has excellent durability and a rich wood grain that develops a unique texture the more you walk on it.

They are made of synthetic rubber. You can easily have them repaired at your local shoe repair shop. We recommend replacing them frequently before the wood is worn down.
