This collaboration model was made possible through a special supply of materials from "Kaguraya," a brand based in Kurashiki, Okayama, that produces tatami border bags. It features a unique depth of color, the beautiful luster characteristic of woven fabric, and a smooth texture. The contrast between the turquoise and wine colors is striking, creating an atmosphere that is modern and airy despite being made from traditional Japanese material. The texture of the weave, which changes its look depending on the angle, brings subtle movement and a rich expression to your feet.
The design pairs perfectly with casual styles like denim and wide-leg pants, and also serves as a great accent for simple dresses or monotone outfits. The "hitete" series is highly acclaimed for being comfortable to walk in and making your feet look beautiful.
With a heel height of approximately 6.5 cm, this is our most popular series; it is comfortable enough that even those who aren't used to heels won't mind the height, and its silhouette makes it easy to pair with western clothing, much like sandals.
The shape of the toe area makes it easy to grip the hanao securely.
Point 2: Maetsubo (toe post)
Contains cushioning material for a soft feel against the foot. Designed to prevent chafing.
Point 3: Hanao structure
Contains cushioning material for a soft feel against the foot. The width is generous to wrap around the foot securely. It is crafted to fit the average Japanese foot shape.
Point 4: Shape of the wooden base (arch)
The arch shape at the instep provides a comfortable fit.
Point 5: Wooden base material
Highly durable with a rich wood grain that develops more character as you wear it. Made using mahogany or sapele wood.
Point 6: Outsole (bottom)
Uses synthetic rubber. Can be easily repaired at your local shoe repair shop. We recommend replacing the soles regularly before the wood wears down.
*By breaking them in gradually at first, they will adjust to your feet and become easier to wear.
Using split-toe socks or half-socks is also recommended.

1. Caring for the Wooden Base and Top Plate
Wiping:
Wipe away dirt with a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water.
Detergent:
In some cases, you may wipe the surface with a diluted neutral detergent.
2. Care for the Strap
Cleaning Method:
Remove dirt with a soft brush (like a toothbrush), then wipe with a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water.
Note:
Depending on the fabric, dye may bleed, so please test on an inconspicuous area first.
Please note that soaking the strap in water will cause it to harden.
Prevention:
We recommend lightly applying a waterproof spray before use. When doing so, be careful not to spray the wooden base.
3. Rubber Sole Maintenance
When to Replace:
To prolong the life of your geta, we recommend replacing the rubber soles frequently before the wooden base wears down.
Repairs:
You can have them replaced at a local shoe repair shop. If the wear extends past the rubber and reaches the wooden base, please consult the retailer.
4. Repairing Chipped Paint
For Black:
You can touch up the area with black nail polish or a black marker to make it less noticeable.
For Dark Brown:
You can touch up the area with a wood-staining pen. Please choose a color similar to the base.
Other:
Please contact us if the chipped area is large.
5. Care for Genuine Leather Uppers
Follow the same care instructions as for general leather shoes.
Removing Dirt:
Remove dirt with a soft brush (like a toothbrush), then wipe with a soft cloth dampened with shoe cleaner.
Moisturizing and Polishing:
Apply shoe cream to a soft cloth, work it in, then brush and polish to finish.
Note:
Please be aware that discoloration may occur depending on the color of the genuine leather and the cream.

Once the items arrive at our office, we will inspect their actual condition.

Depending on the actual state of the items, the repair details, cost, lead time, or possibility of repair may change from our preliminary assessment.

We will provide you with a final estimated amount (including shipping and COD fees) and the estimated lead time. After receiving your final consent, we will begin the repair work.

During the standard reception period, please allow approximately 3 to 4 months after we receive the repair items.

Once repairs are complete and the shipping date is approaching, a representative will contact you with the delivery schedule.

熱海のホテルで出会いました。
履き心地は理解していたので、あとは好きな柄を選ぶだけでした。目についたのはターコイズ。とても下駄とは思えない素敵な下駄でした。
洋服にも合うし、何より最初から鼻緒が痛くないことに感激。また、足が吸い付くような感じでピタッと履けるので、歩きやすいのも驚きでした。
最初はならしで短距離から。下駄に慣れてませんが、疲れることはなく、まだまだ歩けそうですが、無理は禁物。
次はルームシューズとしても取り入れたいと考えています。
日本古来の履物、夏にはとても良いですね。
