Why are the sizes available for "Geta Monogatari" and "hitete" different?

Geta Monogatari is unisex, while hitete is available in women's sizes, so the corresponding sizes are different for each.
For example, for size M, Geta Monogatari is suitable for approximately 24.5-25.0 cm, and Hitete is suitable for approximately 23.0-23.5 cm.

Due to the thickness of my instep, I have a hard time finding footwear that fits my feet.
Which size should I choose?

Geta Monogatari and hitete are made in the "2E" specification.
When ordering, you can also have the thong adjusted (no returns or exchanges).
Please measure your foot length and circumference and let us know the part number of the product you would like. We will carefully ask you about the adjustment of the thong etc. in advance by email and make a proposal.
*What is 2E?
It means "wide" or "extra wide" and refers to shoes that are wider than the standard width. Other common shoe widths include narrow width (B), standard width (D), and so on, with the E number increasing to 3E, 4E, and so on.
*What is foot length?
This is the length from the heel to the tip of the toes.
Stand with both feet evenly balanced on a piece of paper, etc., and mark the most protruding part of your heel and the longest part of your toe, then measure the length. Please measure with a ruler, etc.
*What is foot circumference?
This is the widest part.
Measure around the protruding bone at the base of your big toe and the protruding bone at the base of your little toe. Stand upright with both feet firmly on the floor and in a balanced position. Use a tape measure to measure.

We will suggest the size that suits you and how to adjust the straps.

If you purchase from our online shop, please contact us within 10 days of purchase and we will accept returns and exchanges if the shoes are unused (only tried on indoors).

Do you have sandals larger than the LL size from "Chajin" or "COLOR GETA"?

We do not make sizes other than those shown.
Geta are footwear that can be worn even if the heel is slightly exposed, but we recommend that you try them on indoors first.
If the thongs feel too tight, we can loosen them for you, so please contact us.
Also, for those with feet over 28cm, we have extra large sizes of "Geta Monogatari" (28, 29, 30, 32cm) for you to consider.

I just wore them today and they chipped. Could they be faulty?

We inspect the products multiple times during the manufacturing process, and only ship those that are free of scratches or cracks after a final check.
However, due to the characteristics of natural wood, the wood may chip regardless of the period of use.
We also repair chipped wood, but this will incur a fee.

My nose hurts, what should I do?

Depending on the product, the front part may be loose and the shoes may feel tight when you put them on. Please try tightening the front part. Also, even if the straps are loose, your feet may move and the straps may slip off.
We recommend that you wear them little by little.
We also recommend wearing toe socks or half socks.
We can also adjust the thong for a fee.

Can I wash it completely if it gets dirty?

Please avoid washing the entire glove by soaking it in water, as this may cause the thong to stiffen and accelerate other deterioration processes.

Is it okay to wear indoor shoes (hinoki sandals/punched, two piece) outdoors?

The sole is designed for indoor use, so please refrain from using it outside for long periods of time or on gravel roads.
You can use it on the balcony, terrace, or at the entrance to your home.
Please avoid exposing the product to rain as this may cause deterioration of the product.
