We have collaborated with m2 to create makie lacquerware from "Sakamoto Otozo Shoten," a long-established lacquerware store in Aizu Wakamatsu.
This innovative form was born from the idea that "it would be surprising to have geta that are like lacquered jewelry."
Geta and makie are both traditional Japanese cultures. Combining them creates an "evolving GETA."
The wooden base features a delicate gradient from madder red to black, giving it a sophisticated and elegant impression.
Each genuine leather thong is hand-painted with a silver powder pattern.
This pair showcases the craftsmanship of lacquered makie technique.
Enjoy them as if they were jewelry.

With a heel height of approximately 6.5 cm, it is the most popular series, offering comfort that makes the heel height unnoticeable even for those who are not accustomed to heels, and a silhouette that can be easily matched with Western clothes, like sandals.

Features a wooden base smoothly carved to fit the sole of the foot, and thongs with cushioning material.
Point 1: Shape of the wooden base (toe)
The shape of the toe part in particular makes it easy to grip the thong.
Point 2: Front thong strap
Contains cushioning material for a soft feel against the foot. Designed to prevent thong chafing.
Point 3: Thong mechanism
Contains cushioning material for a soft feel against the foot. The wide width gently wraps around the foot. Designed to fit the average Japanese foot shape.
Point 4: Shape of the wooden base (arch)
The arched shape of the arch provides a comfortable fit.
Point 5: Wooden base material
Excellent durability, rich wood grain expression, and develops character with each step. Uses mahogany and sapele.
Point 6: Outsole (bottom)
Uses synthetic rubber. Can be easily repaired at your local shoe repair shop. We recommend replacing them regularly before the wood wears down.
