“The Warmth of Wood — Even Indoors”
— Winter Moments in Indoor Footwear

On a winter morning,
leaving the lingering warmth of your bed behind
and placing bare feet onto the floor —

That brief, cool sensation
quietly reminds you that the season has changed.

As the cold deepens little by little,
the chill rising from the floor can begin to feel harsh.

Are you someone who wears slippers at home?

Even those who usually prefer to go barefoot
start to notice the cold creeping up from the floor as winter settles in.

At times like these,
mizutori’s indoor footwear becomes a gentle ally.

mizutori’s indoor shoes
allow you to feel the warmth of wood
even inside your home.

Our lineup includes:
•    The “Hinoki no Hakimono” series by artist Kodue Hibino
•    The “two piece” series by the design unit Drill Design

Both embody the comfort of living alongside wood —
a value mizutori has long cherished —
reinterpreted for modern lifestyles.

Hinoki no Hakimono

A gently curved hinoki (Japanese cypress) base
is shaped to follow the contour of the foot
and compressed thin through a pressing process,
creating a light and airy feel when worn.
Circular and square perforations add a playful accent,
resulting in a simple yet charming design with personality.

The warmth of wood
quietly enriches everyday life
and adds a natural touch to your home.

two piece

With its unique construction of two wooden components connected together,
the sole flexes naturally with each step,
responding to the movement of your foot.

A deep, tunnel-like band
gently wraps around the top of the foot,
providing a reassuring sense of stability.

This pair balances refined minimal design
with lasting comfort.

Both series offer sophisticated aesthetics
that elevate the atmosphere of a room.

They are also ideal for welcoming guests.

In a space meant for relaxation,
we naturally want to choose things that lift our spirits.

Wooden footwear may sound hard or cold at first.

But when worn barefoot,
many are surprised by how gentle wood actually feels.

Cool in summer,
subtly warm in winter —

Because wood is a breathing material.

By containing tiny pockets of air,
it transfers heat slowly,
helping maintain comfort throughout the year.

─────────────────────

During a season when we spend more time indoors,
why not introduce a small touch of indulgent comfort — beginning at your feet?

mizutori’s indoor footwear
offers not only visual beauty,
but also the quiet comfort of wood
as a small daily source of ease.

Play your favorite music.
Brew a cup of warm tea.

In those peaceful moments,
mizutori’s indoor shoes rest gently beside you.

From your feet upward,
they softly warm the heart as well.
