They feature smoothly carved wood that fits the sole of the foot and a cushioned thong.
Point 1: Shape of the wood (toe)
The shape of the toe area in particular makes it easy to grip the thong tightly.

The cushioning material makes it soft on the feet. The straps are designed to stay in place.
Point 3: How the thong works
