You want to keep your hanao clean with simple daily maintenance and continue wearing them comfortably every day, right? 💗
This time, we'll introduce some easy self-maintenance methods you can do at home.
Even if you're already familiar with them from the website or newsletter, please take this opportunity to review them together!
[STEP 1: Daily care] Quick brushing
This is the most basic step.
Gently brushing after wearing will easily remove sebum stains that have just appeared on the surface. It is recommended to make it a daily habit.
What to use: A soft brush such as a toothbrush
Tip: A "harder" bristled toothbrush is better for getting out dirt. Be careful not to apply too much force so as not to damage the fabric.
[STEP 2: A little more thorough] Wipe with lukewarm water
If you feel that "brushing alone isn't enough...", move on to the next step.
Wiping is effective for dirt that has been left for a while.
How to do it: Gently wipe the dirty area with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water and wrung out tightly.
This alone will make it look clean and remove the whiteness ✨
[STEP 3: For stubborn stains] Intensive care with neutral detergent
For stubborn stains that still don't come off, try using a neutral detergent.
It takes a little effort, but it will be remarkably clean.
＜What to prepare＞
・Neutral detergent
・Lukewarm water
・Two clean white towels
・Soft brush (toothbrush, etc.)
＜Care procedure＞
1. Make a detergent solution: Dissolve a few drops of neutral detergent in lukewarm water to make a thin detergent solution.
2. Wash gently: Apply a small amount of detergent solution to the brush and gently rub the dirty area as if creating foam.
※Point: Be careful with the amount of water and pressure so that the water does not penetrate the core of the hanao!
3. Wipe (rinse): Wipe carefully with a tightly wrung damp towel to ensure no detergent remains. Repeat several times, changing the side of the towel.
4. Absorb moisture: Sandwich the hanao with a dry towel and pat to thoroughly absorb moisture.
5. Dry in the shade: Shape and let dry completely in a well-ventilated shaded area.
NG: Never use hot air from a hairdryer, as it can cause shrinkage or deformation.
■ Before starting care [3 promises]
Please observe the following to ensure safe care.
1. Always test in an inconspicuous area
2. Always test for discoloration or fabric damage on the back of the hanao before using it on the entire item.
"Do not over-wet" is the ironclad rule!
3. If moisture penetrates the core of the hanao, it can cause deformation, mold, and color fading. Aim for "slightly damp."
＜Others＞
No brushing is required for hanao made of synthetic leather. Please regularly perform "wiping with lukewarm water" as described in [STEP 2].
